Proper Oven Maintenance

The best way to get the most out of your appliances is by checking up on their maintenance from time to time. To ensure that your ovens are functioning at their highest capacity follow these tips:

Check the oven door seal – Twenty percent of an Oven’s heat can be lost if the oven does not have a proper seal. This leaves food left cooked unevenly or prolongs the amount of time the food takes to cook.

Locate the Seal – Open the oven door and check for the rubber or fiberglass seal around the door. Go around and feel if any part of it is broken, ripped, or damaged. Then close the door and check for any leaks in the seal.

Keep or Replace – If you don’t find any leaks, hooray your seal is good to go. Unfortunately if you find leaks in its seal, it is time to replace it.
